The Ministry of works and transport has announced partial blockage of Oko-Olowo Expressway due to the ongoing reconstruction of a box culvert at Eyenkonrin.
An announcement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Yusuf Garba Manjo advised motorists and other users of the routes to be cautious throughout the duration of the reconstruction, however asked trailers to be passing through Ilorin township.
According to the announcement obatained by this medium, the road closure by the CGC Construction Company will take effect from Thursday (1-8-2019) till next week To (6-8-2019).

“NOTICE OF ROAD CLOSURE
This is to inform the general public and the users of Oko-Olowo Expressway that the road will be partially blocked for some days due to the ongoing reconstruction of a box culvert at Eiyenkorin by the C.G.C Construction Company.
In the light of this, trailers will be passing through Ilorin township en route Odota to Geri Alimi/Olorunsogo/Yebumot/Alhikmat/Adeta/Alfa Yahaya/Ita Nma/Oloje/Ogidi to Oko-Olowo linking Jebba road.
The motorists and other users of these routes are hereby advised to be cautious throughout the duration of the reconstruction.
This will take effect from today (1-8-2019) till next week Tuesday (6-8-2019) as there will be excessive pressure on the routes throughout the duration of the repairs.
