The Kwara state government starts the disbursement of this year busrary today at the College of Education, Ilorin. The Kwara State Governor, Dr. Abdulfatai Ahmad, represented by the Senior Special assistance on tertiary institution affair, Mr Ajayi unveil the disbursement process after paying the National Association of Kwara State Student, National Acting president, Com. Kamal Ashola, and the NAKSS president of the Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin.
THE INFORMANT correspondent who visited the venue noted that the program started as early as 10:00am and after all necessary things were put in place to ensure the swift and easy disbursement of the fund to the beneficiaries, the disbursement process eventually started around 12:15pm.
After the official dues had been dished out and distributed to their respective quarters, the students were left to go home with a sum of Four thousand, five hundred Naira.
The NAKSS bursary disbursement committee came up with the modality of paying the first 1000 students whose names appears on the already pasted list, and others were asked to come back the day after, a process which didn’t go down well with the students.
Our correspondent observed that there is possibility the payment stops tommorow as the College would be starting thier exams the day after.
The program witness a lot of bigwigs within NAKSS which includes the acting president, senators and stakeholders most of whom acknowledged there sincere appreciation to the Abdulfatah Ahmad led administration.
