The Kwara state lawmakers at the upper chamber of the National Assembly have been appointed chairmen of some senate committees today.
This announcement follows the confirmation of the 42 ministerial nominees sent to the Assembly by the president.
Sen. Ibrahim Oloriegbe, representing Kwara Central was announced by the senate president Ahmad Lawan as the chairman, House committee on Health and vice chairman House committee on Diaspora and NGOs respectively, while the senator representing Kwara North Sen. Sadiq Umar was assigned as chairman, House committee on Rules and Businesses and vice chairman, House committee on Primary Health and Communicable Diseases.
However, Sen. Lola Ashiru representing Kwara North was designated as vice chairman of House committee on public procurement and House committee on Housing.
