… Crowd occupy streets as Shagaya kickstarts campaign ward tours
The candidate for Asa/Ilorin West House of Representatives, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mallam Muktar Tolani Shagaya, kick-started his voter-engagement tour at the Warah /Oshin / Egbejila Ward of Ilorin West Local Government yesterday, February 13, 2023.
Also at the voter-engagement tour were the candidates of the party contesting for the House of Assembly for Ilorin Central and Ilorin Northwest constituencies, Barrister Oba Abdulqadir and Alhaja Aishat Tundun Alanamu, respectively.
Others, the Chairman of the APC Ilorin West, Honourable Sulyman Tejidini and the Chairman of the Salman Shagaya Foundation, Alhaji Sheriff Shagaya, amongst others.
The campaign tour was received by the various stakeholders, supporters, leaders of the party.
The campaign team was received by a massive crowd at various rally convergence —which covered wards in Warah/Oshin/Egbejila, Oko-Erin and Badari, leading to Magaji Ngeri Ward of Ilorin West Local Government.
The massive crowd defied the hot sun, cheered up Mallam Shagaya, waving party flags, posters and brooms.
Shagaya reaffirmed his desire to put forward selfless service and effect sound representation, if elected in the forthcoming general elections.
“I am most grateful to the Almighty that I come from a family where philanthropy, human capacity development and social impact are values that have been instilled in us from a very young age. This opportunity given to me is not just for me but for all of us – and especially for the youth. I will not disappoint you nor put shame on the integrity and dignity of my family pedigree if elected God – willing. Today we are here to seek your support and blessings to vote for us and all APC candidates come the General Elections”, Shagaya said.
At the conclusion of the campaign tour, the Chairman of the Salman Shagaya Foundation, Alhaji Sheriff Shagaya, implored the supporters and loyalists of the party to cast their votes for all the candidates of the party.
He promised to donate a substantial amount of money from the purse of his foundation, in support of the Asa/Ilorin West constituency.
He vowed to donate the sum of a 1 billion naira for the development of infrastructure, human capacity development and public amenities.
The foundation will begin with 300 boreholes to be shared between Asa & Ilorin West Federal constituency.
