The newly elected Senator for Kwara Central senatorial district, Mallam Saliu Mustapha has rejoiced with a first class traditional monarch — the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari on his 83rd birth anniversary.
This was revealed in a statement signed by the Senator elect, Mustapha.
The Turaki of Ilorin praised the revered traditional monarch for his renewed leadership style.
“As we celebrate our revered father, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, who diligently rose from being a lawyer to a jurist before attaining the throne of his forebears, we are also celebrating the wide ranging changes you introduced to the traditional institutions for which history will be kind to you.
“There is no doubt that your reign ushered in an era of peace, development and prosperity for the good people of Ilorin and Kwara State at large and for this you deserve all the accolades that will be coming your way today
“Our father has been so kind to all that are from the emirate and beyond, and is always willing to support them at all times and that is why we are so lucky to have such an outstanding personality as Emir and we pray that Almighty continue to bless him with wisdom to continue to provide outstanding leadership to the people of Kwara”, the statement added.
The lawmaker-to-be sent his prayers to the Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Traditional Rulers, wishing him good health, long life and strength.
