Nigeria at 62: Saliu Mustapha calls for unity, peace of Nigeria

Mallam Saliu Mustapha, the All Progressive Congress, APC, Kwara Central Senatorial candidate has congratulated Nigerian people on the occasion of the 62nd independence day anniversary.

The House of Representatives hopeful used the avenue of the independence day to call for unity and peace.

The Turaki of Ilorin has via a goodwill message, described 1st of October 1st as a time to reminisce the men and women of influence who stood up for the freedom and emancipation of the country.

The Green chamber hopeful described the independence day as a moment to have a reflection on and learn from historical occurrences that modeled the path of Nigeria.

“The general election of 2023 is fast approaching. As patriotic citizens, we must refrain from making remarks and engaging in actions that could polarise our people along religious and ethnic lines. For peace, unity, and progress to prevail, we must continue to cultivate the virtues of tolerance, empathy, and love.”
