KWARA UNITED VISITATION TO MOTHERLESS HOME IN ILORIN.
KWARA UNITED team arrived Kwara State motherless home, pipeline, Ilorin few minutes after 10:00AM on Wednesday. On arrival, we were welcome by the custodian, Mr Ogunsanya who took our brief and quickly took us round the home; he explained they take care of mainly children (abandoned, motherless or disputed) with a few teenagers, he added the home is opened for adoption.
The chief coach of KWARA United, Majin Mohammed who spoke on behalf of the club told the the custodians why we were there: to emphasize with the innocent children, play and lend a hand to them, to let them have sense of belonging and ultimately seek the mercy of God through their innocence.
In response, the custodian says “I can vividly remember your team was here some time last yearwith all sorts of items for the good of these children, you later sent some balls which the children are still playing till today. We pray for your success daily and we will continue to pray, we follow both your home and away matches and we are happy God is answering our prayers, God will not let each and everyone of you down, the club will maintain this first position till the end of the league in Jesus Mighty name and you will continue to wax stronger even in the premiership, we appreciate the management of Kwara United for being thoughtful always, the coaches, staff and all the players are all appreciated. God will uplift Kwara United”.
The homeis quite a serene environment for children though abandoned, but they enjoyed comparable facilities as available in an average home. The children are indeed well taken care of in this center, but it could be improved upon with your high sense of magnanimity.
Please if you can help in donating things as little as diapers or you know someone that’s wealthy or not but willing to be of assistance, please have conversation with them. You can help these children. My thoughts are that if you or a couple of your friends can make a consistent supply of diapers to these homes – motherless or orphanage, you’ll be contributing immensely to the lives of these children. Please don’t wait until it’s Christmas or a holiday to visit them. You can do it at any time. Let them feel and know what love is and about.
Sometimes, reaching out and taking someone’s hand is the beginning of a journey.
