I congratulate and rejoice with our new governor, Alhaji AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and the entire people of Kwara on this historical feat and occasion.
Today indeed has me really touched. Although it ushered in a new beginning, it serves to remind everyone of us that everything in life is transient, hence a reminder to all those who are just coming to the corridor of power: we will all leave our respective position one day. And whether people will celebrate our end or resent it, that decision is left to us.
I will keep my words short, for William Shakespeare once said something about gilding Lilly or adding colour to rainbow. Adding to a day already made joyous by God is only a way of adding colour to rainbow.
Let’s all go back to our drawing boards now and see how we can contribute our quota to the development of Kwara into our dream. Kwara must work for all.
God bless us altogether.
