A retired Grand Khadi of the Kwara State Sharia Court of Appeal, Justice Idris Haroon, has called philanthropist to emulate the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki on his contributions towards the development of the country.
Idris, while speaking in Ilorin on Sunday, during an inspection exercise to participants of the mock examinations in preparation for the 2018 Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations of the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies, (NBAIS) stressed that the contributions of Dr. Saraki on the area of Human capital development can never be over-emphasised.
“The Senate President donated the sum of N5million to the Kwara State Arabic Education Board to sponsor 500 students for this year’s final Arabic examination organised by the NBAIS. I appeal to government at all levels to prioritize provision of improved educational platform to further boost the desired growth and development of the nation.”
He continued, “Dr Saraki’s contributions to the development of Arabic Language Education and Islam in general is highly commendable. There is need for other philanthropists to emulate by contributing meaningfully the nation-building because government alone could not shoulder the responsibilities in the education sector”
