A Kwara based pro-political group O2 Liberation Movement has expressed their condolences to the people of Patigi Emirate concerning the death of their traditional ruler, Alh. Ibrahim Chatta Umar, Etsu Patigi who transited to the world beyond last night. This was contained in a statement released by the group and made available to the press.
The condolence message signed by the group chairman Alhaji Hassan Owoyale and Publicity Secretary Bolaji Aladie reads:
“It was with sadness without measure that we received the mind shattering news of the death of our father, His Royal Highness Alh. Ibrahim Chatta Umar, Etsu of Patigi Emirate who passed on to join his ancestors late last night.”
“It is so unfortunate that death robbed us off the the opportunity of benefitting more from the pool of wisdoms and experiences of this amiable royal father at this crucial period when Kwara State just got liberated from the grip of the oppressors which our group stood tall with other like minds to chase away from our lands.”
“The roles and contributions of the late Emir towards sustainability of peace and unity within his domain and the entire Kwara North axis can never be forgotten. His death is such a great loss not only to Kwara North but the entire nation.”
“We hereby extend our commiserations to the people of Patigi Emirate, the entire Nupe race and the whole of Kwara. Our sympathy also goes to the Chairman of Kwara State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alh. (Dr.) Ibrahim Zulu Qarnain Gambari and other traditional rulers over the death of one of their own. May almighty Allah forgive the deceased and elongate the reigns of others.”
