The Nigeria professional football league giant, in a bid to consolidate on the last outing has decided to fumigate their team ahead of the much anticipated season which is kicking off soon.
Aiteo Cup winner, Kano Pillars have announced the release of six players ahead of the upcoming Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, which will start next month through their official website report.
The second-placed team in the 2018/2019 NPFL season deemed the players surplus to requirement at the club and therefore did not offer them new contracts in preparation for the new season following the expiration of their existing contract.
The CAF Champions League campaigners revealed on their website that the affected players were released based on the report of the previous NPFL season given by the technical crew to the hierarchy of the club.
Club secretary, Savvadi Abdullahi praised the players for their efforts in ensuring the Kano-based side qualified for the CAF champions league and triumphing in the 2019 Aiteo Cup, while wishing them success in the careers.
Sai Masu Gida also announced the termination of Rasheed Afolabi’s contact with immediate effect without a reason given for the decision.
The players affected are Seun Akinyemi, Shammah Tanze, Kamal Sikiru, Danladi Isa, Hamza Abba Tiya, Meshack Chukwabukem.
