Mallam Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha (LOM), one of the leading Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, yesterday (Saturday) awarded full scholarship to Loveth Adewara, daughter of deceased Com. Adesegun Adewara.
Adewara who was until his death through a ghastly motor accident the Rebirth Coordinator for Irepodun LG also doubled as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the party in the local government.
It would be recalled no fewer than 5 Irepodun APC LG executives lost their lives on November 18, while returning from a victory rally in celebration of the triumph of the party’s candidate in the House of Reps bye-election held a day before.
Speaking at the country home of the Adewaras in Omu-Aran, LOM widely known as the Rebirth Captain expressed sadness with the demise of Adewara, adding that he died when his energy, dedication and zeal were most needed, stressing that the only consolation was that, “the deceased lived a life worthy of emulation by consistently for almost a decade standing by the progressives by siding with the masses against the maladministration and misgovernance which has been the lot of the State for more than a decade now.
” I got to know Com. Adewara through Kwara Rebirth Ambassadors, we met officially thrice while I was eyeing the gubernatorial ticket of the then PDP and later APC.
“From the first day we met, he announced his intellectual dept through his informed contributions at the meeting and I immediately noticed him. I’ve always kept tabs of him since then and that was why were chatting via Whatsapp discussing project Kwara until few seconds to the unfortunate incident, precisely 4:15pm.
“While we know, no amount of support is quantifiable to having the deceased back on his feet, we at the Rebirth movement have however completely submitted to the will of the Lord, knowing that we’ll all one day bid farewell to mother earth.
“The Educational pursuit of the daughter (Loveth) of our deceased compatriot, from this moment henceforth is now the sole responsibility of the Rebirth team, and on behalf of the team, I pledge to foot the bill of her education from to the University level.
Meanwhile, Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha has expressed gratitude to God for saving the life of Mr. Yemi Aransioye (Ojopagogo) the LG party Chairman who is one of the survivors of the accident.
Speaking when he paid a get well quick visit to the Chairman in Omu-Aran yesterday, he thanked God for his miraculous survival.
Ojopagogo was until his election as the party LG Chairman one of the dependable foot soldiers of Rebirth in the LG.
He however charged him to rededicate himself to the liberation struggle of the State, stressing that he must strive to ensure the dreams of a free Kwara which he shared with his deceased executives is made to see the light of the day come 2019.
Other members visited was the family of Chief Ayobami Adekeye among others.
