The All Progressives Congress has reacted to the position of the Peoples Democratic Party on the invitation of the suspended local government chairmen by the state House of Assembly.
The people Democratic party had through the party chairman attacked the state House of not following due process in the suspension and invitation of the chairmen. The opposition boss described it as “putting the cart before the horse”.
The Publicity Seceretary of the party has however through a press release described the action of the PDP as a way of trying to cover-up for their inefficiency.
“The Kwara State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Engr. Kola Shittu has missed it. Like a drunken boxer pummeled by ‘unseen’ opponent, the Kwara PDP and her sympathizers have continued to move from one ridiculous position to the other in a comical search for the defense of their maladministration while in government.”
The statement signed by the Publicity Seceretary of the party, Alhaji Tajudeen Folaranmi Aro and made available to newmen on Sunday maintained that the opportunity given to the suspended local government chairmen was a genuine way of setting the record straight.
Aro further reiterate, “the suspended Chairmen further stated that it would be reasonable for people to desist from linking their actions with perceived betrayal of a political leader. It would be recalled that the chairmen have withdrawn their suits from court challenging their suspension by the Kwara State Government.”
It will however be recalled that the withdrawal of the suspension suit against the state government challenging the legality of their suspension has left a crack on the wall to such that the chairmen now battle each other over the withdrawal’s claim.
