The Kwara State Police command has advised the public against publications of fake news ahead of the presidential and national assembly elections.
In a press statement released by the Police Public Relation Officer, Dsp Ajayi Okasanmi and made available to newsmen in Ilorin today, he disclosed that the Command is committed to a level playing ground for all political parties, 5000 officers and men with support from sister security agencies are already deployed across the State to ensure a violence free electoral process.
They admonished the public to shun any act that may lead to break down of law and order before, during and after the elections, urging them to abide by the order restricting movements on the day of election, obey all laws relating to the conduct of the election released by INEC.

Law abiding citizens are assured of the safety and protection of their rights by the Police and other security agencies.”
