“we agree with His excellency Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for taking the bull by the horn, thus embarking on a complementary spot assessment tour. We are on same page with him, his preference to place premium on kwara North specifically. Understanding the alternate resources that availed amidst, and the resolve to explore them while as well resolving it’s infrastructural deficit and promote growth with developmental goals.”
KnRIG, commended governor Abdulrahman for his sheer sensitivity to tackle the infrastructural decay of the region. It also expressed it’s gratitude to the governor for approving a whooping sum of #25 million as reaccreditation fund to College of Education Technical, Lafiagi.
“KnRIG acknowledge the very modest sensitivity of Governor Abdulrahman to the plight of the people of the North. We at KnRIG on behalf of the good people of the region appreciate His excellency’s approval for release of #25million as reaccreditation fund to the College Of Education Technical, Lafiagi. A task that became carelessly too difficult for the ousted government of Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed to simply accomplish.”
In its final statement, knRIG wooed the governor to consider the region in the appointment of the Vice Chancellor office of kwara state University (KWASU).
“the conventional arrangement that led to the creation of KWASU, making all local governments financially contribute to its establishment, with the understanding of given fair representation to the three regions in terms of its leadership, via rotational balance. Considerably, given the 10yrs successful tenure of Professor Na’Allah an indigent of Ilorin Emirate as the pioneer vice chancellor. It is in our thinking and sincere view that, the next leadership appointment as Vice Chancellor of the KWASU be of any indigene of kwara north extraction, based on credibility, without also undermining MERIT, nor compromising the principle of equity and fairness. Also recognising the obvious fact of KWASU been located in kwara North.
We at KnRIG thus call the attention of his excellency, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to our demand, which we do hope will graciously consider.
