…claims she won the ticket through the legally recognised Akogun Iyiola’s delegates
A 68 years old business woman, Rukayat Aromoke Sheu has charged the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki before the federal high court, Abuja, over the Kwara Central senatorial ticket.
Sheu claimed that the Kwara State chapter of PDP led by Akogun lyiola Oyedepo has not been terminated in any way up till the moment of filling the charges and further claimed she was only aware that the primary election for the Senatorial candidate of the PDP for Kwara State Central Senatorial District was scheduled for the 28th day of September 2018 and as an aspirant she participated in the primary and was duly elected at the poll.
She stressed that she has become aware that “on the same 28 of September, 2017, a purported primary was held in which Engineer Abdulrauf kola Shittu led executive in Kwara State had participated as delegates to elect the Kwara State Central
Senatorial District candidate of Sen. Bukola Saraki purportedly emerged as the Senatorial candidate PDP, Kwara Central Senatorial District for the purpose of the General Elections scheduled for the year 2019.”
However, she prayed the court to ask Saraki to stop parading himself as the Kwara Central flagbearee of the Peoples Democratic party and further instructed the National secetariat of the party to recognize her and send her name to INEC to participate as the party’s candidate in the forthcoming 2019 election.
