Residents of Kulende Estate Phase three and Muyideen community in Ilorin South Local Government Area of Kwara State has appealed to the State Government to come to their aid, by providing the lacking social amenities for their community.
The residents made this call yesterday while featuring on Sobi FM flagship program Kilon Shele Ladugbomi.
The Mogaji of the community, Alhaji Danjuma Jubril lamented that all the roads in the areas are in very bad condition.
He pointed that it’s disheartening that the Kulende estate which is the first estate in Kwara does not reflect any signs of democracy since the return of democratic rule.
The Vice Chairman of the community, Alhaji Isiaka Salman in his words explained that the Kulende to Texaco road if constructed will serve as an alternative route for motorist going to the UITH, Kwara State Polytechnic and other areas in the metropolis, which could further ease gridlock on the old Jebba road.
The members of the community also decried the the poor access to electricity supply in the area calling on the Senator representing Kwara central, Dr. Yahaya Oloriegbe to see to the installment and completion of the 33 KVA Transformer constituency project in Kulende- Muhideen area.
The two communities however plead to the State Government to look into their problems as soon as possible and provide solution to them in order not to deny them enjoying the dividends of democracy.
