I still find it hard to accept Princess Funke Adedoyin is no more – Abdulrasheed Shoboi Akogun

Abdulrasheed Shoboi Akogun mourns Funke Adedoyin

History will never forget her, especially as an Honourable member of the green chamber. While much can’t be said of her lawmaking prowess, I can bet you even the Senate President can’t compete with her in terms of infrastructural foresight and dedication to sustainable poverty alleviation programme.

The quality of road she dualized in Omu-Aran has made mockery of the Maigida led KWSG and all her colleagues at NASS.

I used to have a different notion of her until I had an exclusive 2 hours interview session with her on July 10 2017.

She spoke like an ‘avenger’ emphasising every now and then that She’ll rather not be liked (for not sharing money and doing ‘clipper’ empowerment) than jettison her pet project of ensuring roads infrastructure in her constituency improves drastically.

She then promised and delivered the Omu-Aran road boasting that it’s quality will be marveling.

Her unfulfilled programme however includes the numerous roads she promised to facilitate its dualization, buying of grader to smoothen some of the intra/inter community roads.

I stand tall to say Princess Funke Adedoyin the amazon came, saw and conquered. Although, she was a Sarakite, I fell in love with her simplicity, dedication and always placing her decisions on the a scale of conscience.

May the Lord Almighty grant her soul eternal rest.
