A former deputy gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Hon. Yinka Aluko has denied knowledge of his involvement in the alledged defection plan of the former House of Representative member who represented Asa/Ilorin West federal constituency at the 7th assembly and currently senior legislative aide to the Senate President, Hon Mashood Mustapha.
In a report gathered by THE INFORMANT247, Aluko said, as much as he will welcome any new member to the party, he is not behind the decamping of Mashood Mustapha as widely speculated.
He said, “Much as I welcome new members who have seen the wisdom in PDP genuine struggle to liberate and recover back kwara from the hands of visionless APC and its undemocratic leadership, who is daily growing unpopular with Kwarans. I am however not behind anybody coming to PDP because of gubernatorial ticket nor have I discussed politics with MM not to talk of me working for his alleged plan to decamp to PDP.”
“I wish to use this opportunity to reassure my supporters, sympathisers, political associates, party faithfuls a d the entirety of Kwarans to discountenance this publication as a figment of the writer’s imagination and also see this as an attempt to drag my hard earned name in the mould.”
“I use this opportunity to reaffirm my commitment to the struggle of taking Kwara back from the traducers, I would never relent until the Kwara of our dreams, where all kwarans will matter, a Kwara where the government’s utmost loyalty will be to the electorates and not a godfather and above all, a Kwara we all will be proud to call our own where good governance will be enshrined.”
