Alhaji Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal (HOL) has fecilitated with Christians nationwide as they mark the end of the Lent season, a season which fasting, repentance, and spiritual repentance is strictly observed.
In a statement released to the press by his media team, he said: “Easter is a good time for self-admonition, a time where we have to look back at the favours of the Lord on us, and be thankful for all the blessings showered on our lives.
“Today isn’t just an important celebration for Christians because of the believe that it’s the day Jesus Christ resurrected, it’s also a time that brings hopes of joy, profound happiness, and true aspirations. We should all imbibe the lessons this period teaches us – sacrifice and selfless love.
“This is a perfect time to strengthen our faith in God, open our eyes to the love of God, and emulate the good virtues of Jesus Christ exhibited during his short sojourn of the world. I also enjoin fellow Nigerians to make genuine prayers for the stability and oneness of the Nation.
“I urge us all not to allow divisive opinions and elements to divide us across ethnic or religious lines, we shouldn’t lose focus on doing our small parts in making sure that Kwara is for all”, he concluded.
