Dear Kwarans, permit me to reach you through this medium at this point in time of our political history. Allow me to reiterate yet again, why the struggle is not yet over, the battles are not won and why, as a matter of fact, we shouldn’t rest until victory is attained.
This is why, I have taken it as a point of duty, to tell all and sundry, that the February 16th elections are best seen and described as a bend before the end. And to be much more explicit, the bend I talk about is the damage, a very big one, our party, the All Progressives Congress’ victory at the polls would land on the PDP camp. And this damage when excruciatingly delivered, could be the biggest factor to an unavoidable death and burial of the jackals and hyenas hellbent on shredding this state to pieces. Whereas the last step may not be the first, a first step may be the last. This is so in politics too. Hence, the importance of the elections cannot be over – emphasised. We must take the early lead.
And I have no doubt whatsoever, that the good people of Kwara state are ready and determined to fight a good cause – of Freedom, of Liberation, of Progress, of Peace and Development, however, I equally feel it’s never out of place to remind each other, to enlighten each other, to encourage each other, sensitise and motivate one another on the reasons why we are where we are and why we must do our all to move on to the Next Level.
Truly this struggle, as a child of necessity, was birthed for the people and I am glad and happy it’s sustained by these people today, something not highly hugely realistic some years ago. But perhaps there’s no single incidence that have had equal political effects like our party’s victory in the Ekiti/ Oke-ero/ Ifelodun / Isin Federal constituency bye elections. Together with our our togetherness and comradeship after our party’s uneventful primaries, the political gains, goodwill and momentum gathered by that victory was priceless and truly exceptional. So easily could it have been very disastrous for the struggle too if things had went wrong. In the game of politics, you win today to stand to win another. And undoubtedly, that victory was encouraging and motivating as such it has and should to be the springboard to more successes at the polls.
Not for doubts and fears, but the fact is these elections cannot be toiled with. The impact and effects would make make or mar the rest of the struggle, we cannot afford to let our guards down any bit.
So may I use this medium to call on our party leaders and supporters from the top echelon to the lowest base to be ready to shed their sweats today for sweetness tomorrow. Truly the existence of a society lies in its continuity, but only in positives. Bad governance, servitude, redundancy and underdevelopment bedevilling this state are bad habits that are like old bracelet around our necks, which we mustn’t hesitate to break and shred into unamendable pieces!
As a true son and noble of this land, I can’t claim to be unaware of the people’s toils and troubles. I have been a part and parcel of my kin in both the good and the trying times. It’s incontrovertible that I know their wants, yearnings and desires. And it’s no lies when I tell you that they were living through the hardships to see the next day. So here’s the said next day dear brothers and sisters.
And now the time has come, the time is now, that this readiness, doggedness, courage and bravery is most needed. The impact of first victory would be very huge and invaluable. The enemies would be shattered, demoralised, discombobulated, disorganized, disheveled and bereaved of ideas, wit, passion and resolve to paddle on, on their ignoble cause. Isn’t that going to be sweet sweet victory?
Saraki and his co- political merchants are out in the open dealing in the ungodly act of future mortgaging. They are truly what we call them – political Yobos, who had squandered our goodwill, betrayed your trust, make mockery of our confidence, and yet won’t be remorseful and sober, because they are leopards who won’t ever change their rejected skin! So how, in every sense, do a man or people, who failed to refund a loan of 16years convinced us to lend him/ them some more? Why would we, as a people, hand over the keys to the vault to those who has continually mismanaged it for almost two decades? If they say one good turn deserves another, what has been good with Kwara PDP and his tormentor-in – Chief Saraki, since all these years anyway?
While a wrong done once maybe counted a mistake, the same wrong done continuously is tomfoolery! In the time past, we have been cajoled, deceived, tricked and fell into their carnage of deceit and ruse, and quite admirably, we have waltzed through the storm gallantly and bravely – bruised, cheated, famished and impoverished, but we fed on hope and belief, waiting for the better days!
Dear Kwarans, allow me to break the shell of good news. The better days are here. With the All Progressives Congress, the future is here and the time is now! After your hardship and lack, surely, comes reprieve. The years of squalor, famine, hunger, lack, instability, insecurity, economic infertility, social redundancy, and educational puerility and unproductivity is about becoming a thing of the past. Yet, it’s our choice to make. The decision to evolve and develop is ours. But I am convinced, if every citizens of the world won’t support growth and development, not my good people, Kwarans, I would vouch they would offer anything to better their state for a beautiful tomorrow. I have no doubts whatsoever, that if there was going to be a tomorrow, it’s a better tomorrow for Kwara State with APC. Would Kwarans let this moment slide?
Perhaps I should get less complex here, this cause-Freedom and Liberation, is a fight between Light and Darkness, Evil and Goodness. You know if there would be the best place to make an academic thesis on servile leadership – follower ship and governance, there’s perhaps no where that aptly capture that description than Kwara State. The popular catchword man inhumanity to man is the order of the day here. And I wonder if I could be more right to think this land needs REBIRTH.
We are people who had almost never had a purposeful leadership not to talk of dividends of democracy. Our values, culture and heritage keeps eroding to the stronger forces of poverty and lack. Our children are unengaged and unemployed. Our schools are centre for production of uneducated illiterates. Our roads connect faster to hell more than our destination. We die everyday in bit because we are killed every minutes with sleaze. There’s no doubt that continuation on this path is a sure way to calamity and irreparable disaster. This is why I strongly feel that every passionate Kwaran must come together, to send these political Vultures hellbent on feasting on today and even the future unconscientiously, away!
So I seize this moment of history to charge our people to stand on the side of Light. No matter how hard, darkness would never triumph over the Light. The All Progressives Congress ( APC) represent the Light we have been waiting for, and now that there’s light at the end of the tunnel, let’s make that final push to reach the end.
Dear Kwarans, it’s most instructive we all understand that victory for our party at the polls on Saturday, is the drastic bend before the end of the obnoxious dynastic ruler ship in Kwara State we have rejected and renounced. Hence, we must remain steadfast and committed to inflict this loss on them, a big political first blow could be very blinding to the political overlords. We should be emphatic in our support for the All Progressives Congress ( APC) by voting every of our candidate from the President, Senators to the House of Representatives. Victory is sweet when it’s emphatic but a loss is a loss no matter how small.
So, common patriots! Let’s march on to greatness. Let’s cross the sea and enlarge the coast. Let’s draw the line between Evil and Goodness. With PDP, it’s goodnight and Adieu – Adieu to Evil and Darkness in Kwara State. For APC, let’s say good morning – to Greatness, Progress, Unity and Harmony. And so shall it be Insha Allah. Amen.
Dear Soldiers of Change and Armies of Revolution, lace your shoes, tighten your belts, and polish your PVCs; and let’s go to the NEXT LEVEL with APC. Victoria Ascerta..
