The Informant247
Mr. Isiaq A. Omotayo, the Director of Lankotheory Educational Services Limited has been alleged of extortion by some students of the institution.
The allegation, which prompted THE INFORMANT247 correspondence to investigate the issue further. This has called for a counter-attack as the allegation was said to have been generated from the competitors as the school stands out among others.
The allegation, following the telephone conversation from no fewer than 6 self acclaimed students of the institution received by the Informant247 on 24th May, 2018 at 7:06pm, to show their dismay regarding the level of extortion in the school.
The source said: “the school fee is 150,000 naira, after which the students were told to pay sum of 10,000 naira for final expenses to Igbaja for examination,
the School collected another 15,100 naira for result. Mr Isiaq is now compelling the students to pay another sum of 5000 naira for damages of hostel in Igbaja”
The source added: “Mr Isiaq couldn’t identify those that caused the damages, why must it be compulsory for all students to pay?”
However, the organisation has described the allegation against Mr Isiaq and the organisation as false, mischievous and fallacious.
Lankotheory spokesman, Mr Ishola Kayode narrated through a release made available to the informant247 that the organisation is known for fair charges in its IJMBE programmes, in fact, it is the cheapest A Level tutorial center in Ilorin, the heart beat of Kwara State. The organisation charges 110,000 Naira for their tuition fees which is comparatively low to any organization in this country as the said amount include teacher’s Salaries, registration fees, agent’s commission and the organization’s staff salaries, school facilities and the student’s welfare (medical charges).
Further investigation revealed that any form of damage to the school property is punishable, this is contained in the organisation’s code of conduct 2013, in which copies are available at the center.
Mr. Kayode said: “Anyone who alleges the organisation for punishing a student for damaging the school’s property may be obliged a copy of the said code of conduct”
He stated: “There is no hidden charges in our our organization. We charge reasonably and considerably. These facts are verifiable not only in our organization but any center in the country. There are 3 stages for the IJMBE programme; Preliminary, Final and the Result collection stage and the charges for these stages might not be uniform in all centers but the organization charges reasonably in all stages.”
Mr. Kayode said: “There has never been any record of extortion or exploitation by Mr Isiaq Abdulwaheed (The Director) nor the management of the organization. We wish to inform the public that we are committed to our mission of Educating with Vision.”
He also made the organization contacts available for further enquiries: 08038295398 or Lankotheory@gmail.com.
