A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Mallam Saliu Mustapha has called for deliberate policy that would guarantee an enabling environment for medium and small scale enterprises to drive Nigeria’s economy.
Mallam Saliu Mustapha in a statement issued from his media aide in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital to congratulate President Muhammadu Buhari on his inauguration as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for second term and Alhaji AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq on his inauguration as the seventh Executive Governor of Kwara state, stressed the need for them to focus attention on entrepreneurship to grow the country’s economy.
While congratulating President Buhari for his sterling qualities especially in the declaration of his assets and without adding anything to what he declared in 2015, the APC Chieftain urged him to develop models that would tame the monster of unemployment drastically to curtail the rate of insecurity in the country.
Mallam Saliu Mustapha who was a governorship Aspirant under the All Progressives Congress in the last general elections in Kwara state asked the newly inaugurated Governor of Kwara state, Alhaji AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq to assemble best hands that would form his government in rebuilding a new Kwara the people of the state have been yearning for.
He said the new Governor inherited poor Kwara where all sectors of the economy had collapsed and stressed the need for him to make use of his experience in the private sector to change the state to an industrial one.
According to him, ” though the expectations of people is very high and It is one thing to wrest power and it is another to live through it with great vigour and impeccable drive. What would make your government unique is any effort that would pander to the yearnings and aspirations of the people for whom you’re in office “.
Mallam Saliu Mustapha urged the new governor not only hit the ground running but ‘fly on hitting the ground’, saying that it is imperative for the new government to take cognisance of concerns of the people of Kwara state who are determined for a change in the governance of the state.
The former Governor Aspirant therefore felicitated with President Muhammadu Buhari, all elected governors of the All Progressives Congress and lawmakers at the national and state levels, praying for God guidance in discharging their duties.
