…. Says APC Would Commence Intense Campaign Soon
All Progressives Congress (A PC) Chieftain in Kwara State, Hon. Ahmed Yinka Aluko, has reaffirmed his commitment to the party amidst the rife rumours of his discontentment after the controversial primaries in the state.
The astute politician who is a one time SSA security to Kwara State government and deputy governorship candidate of PDP in 2015, had contested for the ticket of Kwara Central Senatorial District with Comr. Musbahudeen Eshinrogunjo and Dr. Yahya Oloriegbe before the latter got the ticket in a quite controversial manner, an outcome which was widely believed had angered Hon. Yinka Aluko to the point of considering leaving the party.
It was also rumoured that the seasoned politician might not key into the ambition of Dr. Yahya Oloriegbe due to the controversial ways the primaries went.
The people have also been referencing his seeming silence in the political arena as the yardstick to uphold such story since the rumor first sip into the public.
However, Hon. Yinka has dismissed such story as false and unfounded, affirming he remains a committed party chieftain of the All Progressives Congress.
While responding to the poser of our reporter Ibraheem Abdullateef, on the veracity of the rumor and his seeming silence in the political arena, Original Homeboy as he’s fondly called by his admirers said ” Am I silent ? My role is a strategic one. I am naturally not a noisy person. But you can be assured I am fully with the party and all the candidates both in the state and the federal level ”.
When he was asked further for his opinion on the banning of political rallies by the Kwara State government, the experienced had this to say, ” It’s not legal, there is a precedent of this scenario in the court of appeal in a decided case between IGP n APP. What’s most important is a police approval for any rallies, once the police or security agents can give approval and can guarantee security of the situations of both protesters and the citizens, there’s no problem”.
Furthermore, he argued that the halt in the political campaign of his party in the state is not in anyway related to the government proclamation. Hon. affirmed that Kwara APC is on course and they are following the set out plans.
” The party seem to have mellowed because we have planned activities and normal campaign to commence soon has been originally designed.
We have equally discovered that the opposition are desperate and uncomfortable with the popularity of our candidates, we need to strategize in a manner that will guaranteed the safety of our members and supporters”.
Meanwhile, he has enjoined Kwarans to canvass and vote en masse for President Muhammadu Buhari and every other APC Candidates in Kwara State to enable Kwarans and Nigerians at large enjoy the Next Level plans of PMB/ Osibanjo to 2023.
