Funke Adedoyin: Not only a great shock – Comr. Olando
Many took to social media yesterday to mourn the death Late Hon. Funke Adedoyin, a lawmaker and ex minister, who passed away in Abuja after returning from treatment abroad.
Comrade Odunjo Orlando, House of Assembly aspirant, Ekiti constituency, speaking on behalf of Kwara South youths and Funke Adedoyin’s beneficiaries said that it was more than a shock for us, aside being a dedicated lawmaker as described by the Speaker of House of Assembly, Yukubu Dogara, she is our Hero, lover of youths and a true democrat.
Olando who described Late Funke as his political mentor, registered his condolences, through a social media chat with this newsmen yesterday, describing Late Funke Adedoyin as a friend of poor and masses considering her constituency projects and many of her life changing scheme.
He said: “We expected to see her in good health after she returned to the country but was recuperated in Abuja hospital until her death.
“Her death which occurred yesterday afternoon was really a great shock to Kwarans and her constituents”.
Late Funke was elected into the Green Chamber in 2015 on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
However, she was among lawmakers, who dumped the ruling party for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in reference to her loyalty to the Senate President, Sen. Bukola Saraki.
