In what appears a dramatic turn from the earlier statement made by Kwara APC gubernatorial candidate, Abdulrahaman Abdulrasaq postponing his campaign in Kosubosu, Baruteen local government area, he was sighted in company of his supporters at the palace of Emir of Ilesa-Baruba this evening.
Receiving APC candidate and his entourage at his place, Emir of Ilesa-Baruba, Professor Halidu Usman, an authority in Economics made case for economic development of the Kwara North Senatorial District.
Professor Usman who took time out to lecture his visitors on what he considered as short, medium and long term strategies for developing his area which share borders with Benin Republic, held that his domain require more than what it has presently.
Earlier, APC candidate, Abdulrahaman Abdulrasaq had informed the first class traditional ruler and the mammoth crowd at Emir’s palace that his government will open a Free Trade Zone in the Kwara North Senatorial District.
Abdulrasaq added that, an essential ingredient of his policy document is the establish of an Inland Port in Baruteen local government area of the State.
It was observed that his campaign train was stopped intermittently by villagers who insisted he must have a time with them.
Abdulrasaq is expected to pay similar visit to Emirs of Okuta and Yashikira before the dawn.
